Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with professional history of working in P&C Insurance business

  • Document business requirements, functional and non-functional, utilizing a variety of methods and artifacts (e.g. writing use cases, user stories, creating process flows, etc.).

  • Develop and execute a requirements attainment strategy for new projects. Engage stakeholders to elicit requirements and facilitate discussions as needed.

  • Help manage changes in requirements as work progresses through the application development lifecycle. Verify that proposed solutions meet the needs of the business.

  • Track project status/deliverables and assist in the completion of software documentation and training material.

  • Responsible for providing production support triage as needed, coordinating/validating changes with vendor systems, and contributing to team’s efforts, or other activities as assigned by manager, that maybe required.
  • Assist with the development of test strategies, writing and executing functional test cases, developing test execution plans, assessing defect severity, providing a status of testing activities and driving defects/issues to resolution

Skills/Experience

  • Experience with insurance related systems (e.g. Surety, bonds, billing, policy administration, and claims) is preferred.

  • In-depth knowledge of Property and Casualty Insurance or other Financial Services industry valuable.

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and time-management skills.

  • Must be highly self-motivated requiring minimal direction.

  • Understanding of the application development life cycle;

  • Ability to plan and execute a business analysis framework which includes planning, requirements elicitation, facilitation, and documenting requirements in a variety of methods and in alignment with best practices (e.g. process models, user stories, use cases, etc.).

  • Must be able to track project status/deliverables, identify issues/risks, and assist in the completion of software documentation and training material.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • High levels of enthusiasm, energy, and goal-orientation.
